Metro Parks, Serving Summit County saw almost 5.4 million visits in 2012 and is on track to meet or beat that record this year. The 11,000-acre park district includes 14 developed parks, several conservation areas and about 125 miles of trails.
The Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CVNP) is also primarily in Summit County, and its 33,000 acres feature diverse habitats, attracting a myriad of plant and animal life. Superb educational and recreational programming have made both districts destinations not just for northeast Ohioans, but for visitors across the state.
