Food on Forty
These stops along the National Road offer a bite to eat and a taste of Ohio history.
When you pull open the door to Henry’s Restaurant, you might be surprised that, well, it actually opens. After all, Henry’s looks more like an abandoned garage than a diner; a relic from the past with weeds growing through cracks in the pavement and empty concrete islands where gas pumps once stood. Only a movable sign out front emblazoned with the black letters “O-P-E-N” gives you some indication that something’s cooking inside this West Jefferson establishment.
