Kaleidoscopes of Color
Photographer Traci Parks shares her intimate view of the world.
To look into Traci Parks’ intimate photographs of orchids, lilies — even glassware — is to be drawn into a world of swirling, luminous layers of color. The images are reflective of the kaleidoscopic existence she lives every day. That’s because Parks — whose work has been featured in exhibitions, as well as in Popular Photography and Ladies’ Home Journal — is legally blind.
“People ask all the time: ‘Can you see what you’re actually photographing?’ Well … kind of,” she says, laughing. “Not really.”...
