Loved the story. I was a city official back in the day. Well remember when both the Beacon and Record covered not only general meetings but committee meetings. I can assure you that many an elected official worried about how the meeting would be written up in the paper and some were overly concerned with seeing their names appear. My daughter Beth, worked as a "stringer" for Record summers while in college and shortly after college graduation. Some of her tales of being a "cub reporter" were more than funny.
