This intensely personal concert begins with Ravel’s gentle and graceful elegy. An elegant young piano soloist joins the Lima Symphony Orchestra for Schumann’s tender Piano Concerto. Elgar’s “Enigma Variations” presents a portrait of the composer’s friends wrapped in a tantalizing mystery.
