Jefferson Starship
Dayton
One of the most memorable groups from the 1960s and its Summer of Love, Jefferson Airplane defined the “San Francisco Sound” and became the first of the Bay Area bands to gain national acclaim. The band evolved into Jefferson Starship in 1974, and today features members David Freiberg (a cofounder of Jefferson Airplane), Danny Baldwin, Cathy Richardson, Chris Smith and Jude Gold. This performance includes favorites such as "White Rabbit," "Somebody to Love," "Count on Me" and songs from the band's brief time as Starship, including "We Built This City."
