10 Broadway Shows Coming to Columbus for the 2025–2026 Season

PNC Broadway in Columbus just announced its 2025–2026 season. Here’s what's on the (Play)bill.

With the PNC Broadway in Columbus 2024–2025 season wrapping this summer with the return of “Hamilton,” the Columbus Association for the Performing Arts has announced what will be hitting the stage for the 2025–26 season.

The 10 shows on tap range from longtime stage favorites to newer productions that have become popular in recent years.  One of the highlights is the headlining performance of the season, “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,” which arrives Oct. 12. In addition to this anticipated show, five others are making their Columbus debut.

“Six Columbus premieres, including the only Ohio stop for the new ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ tour … we couldn’t be more excited to share this new season with all of our loyal Broadway fans,” CAPA president and CEO Chad Whittington said in an April 7 press release announcing the lineup.

The season kicks off with “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” (Oct. 12 through Nov. 1) and tells the tale of Harry Potter’s son Albus and his antics with the son of Harry’s rival, Draco Malfoy. “Some Like it Hot” (Nov. 18 through 23) and “Six” (Dec. 16 through 21) round out the 2025 calendar year.

At the start of 2026, “Back to the Future: The Musical” (Jan. 6 through 11) brings the fantastical journey of Marty McFly to life with catchy songs and plenty of retro flair. One of the biggest shows of Broadway, “Les Misérables” (Jan. 27 through Feb. 1) returns to Columbus, bringing with it favorite songs like “One Day More” and “Bring Him Home.” Winter is set to be rounded out by another classic with The Sound of Music” (Feb. 24-March 1).

The literary work of S.E. Hinton arrives on-stage with “The Outsiders” (March 17 through 22) and brings the iconic rumble scene to life through dance. Those looking for great music and big laughs will find it with the new musical comedy, “Shucked” (April 7 through 12), and Broadway fans will rejoice at the return of Hadestown” (May 15 through 17). The season is rounded out by a heartfelt production of “Water for Elephants” (June 9 through 14), based on the novel of the same name.

Season tickets to these shows are now available for current PNC Broadway in Columbus subscription holders. Those looking to become a season ticket holder for the first time can purchase tickets beginning June 11. This year’s season-ticket shows are “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,” “Some Like it Hot,” “Back to the Future: The Musical,” “The Sound of Music,” “The Outsiders,” “Shucked” and “Water for Elephants.” “Six,” “Les Misérables” and “Hadestown” serve as season options, which ticket holders can choose to add to their subscription.

The date for single-show ticket sales for those who are not season subscribers has not yet been announced.

“The season really does represent the last several years of Broadway at its best, freshest and most creative, alongside two beloved classics,” Whittington said in the press release. “We’ll see you at the theatre!”
