Ohio Star Theater in Sugarcreek Announces its 2025 Schedule

The original musical “The Road to Damascus: A Musical Journey Through Acts,” pianist Jim Brickman and ”American Idol’ alum Taylor Hicks are all set to take the stage at this venue in Ohio’s Amish Country.

The Ohio Star Theater at Dutch Valley in Sugarcreek announced its 2025 lineup of performances, a schedule that includes an original, Biblically inspired musical, touring national artists, tribute bands and more.

Created for the Ohio Star Theater, “The Road to Damascus: A Musical Journey Through the Book of Acts” tells the Bible story of Saul, a zealous persecutor of Christians who goes on to author 13 books for the New Testament. Running May 14  through Nov. 4, the show serves as the headlining production of the season, but there are many other acts in a range of genres taking the stage throughout 2025

The first act of the season is comedian Michael Jr., who comes to town for two shows on Feb. 14 in a perfect Valentine’s Day date night, while Yakov Smirnoff brings the laughs on March 8. 

Throughout the spring, the theater hosts pianist Jim Brickman (March 14), country singer and “American Idol” alum Taylor Hicks (March 15), Rhythm of the Dance Irish dancers (March 18), The John Denver Experience with Chris Collins and Boulder Canyon (April 10), Christian comedian Jeff Allen (April 12) and Jimmy Fortune (May 17).

Summer brings several tribute and music acts including “Let's Hang On: Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons Tribute” (May 31), the bluegrass and gospel duo Dailey & Vincent (June 21), Christian band Sanctus Real (July 26), The U.S. Bee Gees (July 31), Eagles tribute band Alter Eagles (Aug. 1) Bad Moon Rising, a tribute to Creedence Clearwater Revival (Aug. 2).

Toward the end of the 2025 season, catch the last showings of “The Road to Damascus” as well as the Booth Brothers in Concert (Oct. 11), a The Prophecy, a Trans-Siberian Orchestra Tribute (Dec. 18) and Dailey & Vincent Christmas on Dec. 19.
