Reunited

The Breeders tour the world to celebrate the rockin’ success that started in Dayton.

Kim and Kelley Deal, identical twin sisters who hail from the greater Dayton city of Huber Heights, recently reunited the early 1990s incarnation of their seminal rock band The Breeders. This year marks the 20th anniversary of The Breeders’ platinum-selling album “Last Splash” and, along with delivering a deluxe reissue of the recording (titled “LSXX”), the band is touring the world.

The Breeders are known for their standout single “Cannonball” and its iconic music video directed by Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon and filmmaker Spike Jonze. Along with the Deal sisters, the “Last Splash”-era Breeders include English-born Josephine Wiggs (bass) and fellow Dayton native Jim Macpherson (drums). Kim and Kelley Deal as well as Macpherson still reside in the Dayton area.
