Scoop Up Jeni’s New Green Smoothie Ice Cream

You read that right, and no, you don’t need to be Popeye to love this spinach-tinged creation that also features tropical mango, orange, banana and pineapple flavors.

With the New Year comes discounts on gym memberships, pop-up ads for juice cleanses and Instagram influencers pushing diets and healthy recipes. But what if there was a way to feel better about yourself, while still enjoying delicious ice cream?

Wonder no more, because Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams has just the thing with its new flavor: Green Smoothie.

We’ve all seen or heard about the “changing qualities” that surround a green smoothie in the morning. Its bright color comes from a hearty handful of spinach, and that’s just the same with the whimsical swirls found in the creation that launched in Jeni’s Scoop Shops on Jan. 9.

The bright ice cream blend is made up of tropical mango, orange, banana and pineapple flavors, and just a touch of spinach. The treat is finished off with a swirl of coconut cream throughout combining into a refreshing, bright mix of flavors that you could always try to pass off as your daily serving of fruits and veggies.

If you can’t get to a Jeni’s shop, fear not. Green Smoothie ice cream is for sale on the Jeni’s website as individual pints, or as part of the Green Smoothie collection of pints, which includes the new flavor as well as Pineapple Upside Down Cake, Brambleberry Crisp, Strawberry Buttermilk, Lemon and Blueberries Parfait, and Sweet Cream Biscuits & Peach Jam.

Shop visitors can also try Jeni’s new Parfait on the Beach, a layered creation of Green Smoothie ice cream, mango sauce, whipped cream and Michele's brand granola butter. This new concoction is a taste of summer in the dead of winter, topped off with a triangle of Jeni's homemade waffle cones.
