Zane Charnas has been involved in the hospitality industry since his teens. Inspired by his parents’ passion for hospitality, his dream of creating a unique experience comes to life with Hemingway’s. Zane’s background in brewing as the Head Brewer at Royal Docks Brewing Company in Canton, Ohio, has honed his understanding of flavors and how they interact with one another. His expertise will be invaluable in crafting food and beverage choices, ensuring that each offering is thoughtfully designed to enhance the guests’ experience at Hemingway’s.

Deborah Chapman contributes her wealth of experience in hospitality to the team. Garnering 15 years in private club management, she developed a strong foundation in the industry. Skills and community engagement highlight her previous project in 2022. Her previous project of revitalizing the Old 97 Cafe in Kenmore until its sale in 2022, enabled her to showcase skills in restaurant management and community engagement. Chapman’s passion for hospitality, combined with her artistic background and creative flair, brings a unique touch to Hemingway’s. Her discerning taste in cocktails and commitment to exceptional service elevate the overall guest experience, making every visit memorable.

And, of course, there is Hemingway himself, a beloved Corgi and Chapman’s loyal companion of nearly a decade. While the name “Hemingway's Underground” carries a range of meanings, this charming pup is its namesake and serves as a symbol of warmth and friendship within the lounge. With his playful spirit and affectionate nature, Hemingway has been an integral part of the journey, bringing joy to the company and team.
