9/2: Experience a sweet send-off to summer at the Milan Melon Festival, a family affair bubbling over with live music, rides and games, children’s activities, an antique car show, a parade and the ever-popular muskmelon ice cream and watermelon sherbet. Aug. 31–Sept. 2, milanmelonfest.org
