Celebrate Founder’s Weekend at Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park

This 470-acre sculpture park celebrates 28 years in 2025 with free admission and a weekend of activities in honor of founder Harry T. Wilks.

Since 1997, Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park & Museum in Hamilton has been a local favorite and a destination for travelers, thanks to its collection of unique outdoor sculptures set against the beauty of nature. Celebrate this unique collection during the free-admission Founders Weekend on March 8 and 9.

Harry T. Wilks’ love for nature and art led to his creating the park, which presents monumental sculptures against meadows, hills and ponds. Every day but Tuesday, visitors can walk the grounds or grab a golf cart to tour the park’s more than 70 permanent outdoor works. Those who visit on Founder's Day will not only get free admission but also have an extra slate of activities to look forward to.

Due to the popularity of Founder’s Day in years past, the event has been expanded to two days, March 8 and 9. Visitors on Saturday can get a look inside the Pyramid House. This unique structure, which reopened in 2023, houses several antiquities from cultures around the globe and tells the story of the building’s construction and architecture.

On Sunday, March 9, the Pyramid House hosts Steven Tuck, a professor of history at Miami University, as he gives two themed lectures throughout the day: Myth & Storytelling in Antiquity (11 a.m.) and Decorating in Antiquity (1 p.m.).

The season highlights for 2025 will be announced during Founder’s Weekend. Open for view beginning Founder’s Weekend, “Botanical Fantastical,” an exhibit at the park’s Gallery Museum, features work by Kim Radochia and explores the art of movement in nature as well as the Chinese principal “li,” which examines patterns found in the natural world. Visitors who are taken with Radochia’s work can mark their calendars for a series of workshops she is hosting at the end of April.
