Shop Small at the WestSide Holiday Market in Cincinnati

Billed as the Queen City’s largest Small Business Saturday event, get started on your holiday list by shopping local this weekend.

After the last plate is cleared and the last slice of pie is claimed from the Thanksgiving table, we dive headfirst into the holiday season. Most every business has some sort of sale, coupon or circular floating around, competing for attention during what is undoubtedly the largest shopping season if the year.

As Black Friday and Cyber Monday have grown with the onset of online shopping, so too has Small Business Saturday, a time to pick out seasonal gifts from makers who are also Buckeye State neighbors.

Since 2017, WestSide Holiday Market has brought together Cincinnati and southwest Ohio makers for a one-day shopping experience packed with food, fun and most importantly, shopping.

This year, WestSide Holiday Market is coming to Westwood Town Hall on Harrison Avenue on Saturday, Nov. 30 from noon to 5 p.m. For its seventh season, the market will host more than 120 makers selling festive crafts and treats, and the first 200 shoppers through the door receive a holiday goody bag packed with cheer.

Inside the hall, shoppers can browse handmade gifts to the tune of holiday music, but there are also plenty of family activities as well, including free photo opportunities with Santa from 2 to 4 p.m., so that kids can get their wishes in the Jolly Old Elf’s ear early.

Cincinnati Bengals fans won’t want to miss out on this free, indoor/outdoor market either, as Jordan Battle, Trayveon Williams and the Ben-Gals cheerleaders make an appearance for a meet and greet session from 1 to 3 p.m. After enjoying the indoor festivities, bundle up and head outside to grab lunch from one of the food trucks lined up at the hall.
